I gotta say, we love this store and it's "our supermarket." It's only a few minutes from our house and we go about once a week, sometimes more. The selection is always good. The produce is very nice. We are very partial to the fried chicken and the bakery. We get all of our birthday cakes here. The clerks are always pleasant and helpful and we enjoy a quick chat while our groceries are checked out. We use the pharmacy and we're very happy with the pharmacists, who are professional, helpful, and efficient. We particularly enjoyed a visit from the Oscar Meyer Weener Mobile last spring. It was a cute and community-spirited thing to offer. We did find a small mistake in one of the sales tags in the produce section, which gave us a good chuckle. I submitted it to Next with Kyle Clark and I was delighted when they put it on the air.
This review is more about King Soopers as a whole and was just spawned at the candelas store. This sign clearly says "With card and digital coupon", but I did not get the 1.99 discount with my card. I got a 2.99 discount instead with the original price being 3.99. The lady at the counter informed me I had to have the app, which is clearly not the case. I took this picture and showed it to her and she said I had to have both. I DISAGREE entirely. You see, if I have the app, I would already have the card since they are linked, therefore it would be redundant and intentionally misleading to write "with card and digital coupon". The lady refused to budge, so here I am. Not only do I not want your stupid app, but you are effectively making it so that old and poor people can't get these discounts. We don't want an app for everything, we don't need to be on our phones for everything. These are grocery stores, not social media platforms. I refuse to give you another dollar and will do my shopping elsewhere from now on. If you decide to get rid of the super inconvenient app, I will return, but not until then. I really hope that others will join me.
Employees are great, but shareholder-profit focus has ruined this chain. 11am and there’s huge lines for the one open register and even bigger line for the few self-checkouts. Unacceptable. Your purpose is to provide for your community, employees, and shareholders LAST not first. If I ever come here again and there’s only one register open, I’m leaving my cart there and shopping somewhere else.
There are very few registers open. There is always a very long wait to check out as a result. Expect to wait 10-15 minutes to get to a register.
Floral department was wonderful in ordering and providing flowers for our wedding centerpieces and aisle decor. They were beautiful for a great price!
My girlfriend and I went to this new King Soopers for the first time today. Usually we go to the one off of 64th and McIntyre but today we decided to go to this one because the other one is way too crowded for us. For our first visit, we were pretty impressed. Everything was fully stocked and you can actually walk down the aisles without hitting another person with your shopping cart. I was shocked to see that they had more self checkout options then I've ever seen at any other store. Unfortunately there were only two check stands open for people with a full cart of groceries like we did. They do have the Scan & Go option but we've never used it before and there was no one there to show us how it's done. I think we'll be going again in the next couple weeks.
They insist on putting every single produce item in its own plastic bag when you do pickup orders. Even if you request them not to in the order notes. I called the store and eventually got the manager and she told me “that’s how we do it because otherwise people will complain.” OK that may be true for some people, but the order packers are apparently instructed to ignore requests from customers who ask for NO bags. But whatever - it’s not like we’re running out of oil or anything…
I have lived near this store for a year. The immediate impression is that it is large with lots of selection but the size is deceptive filled with home goods, seasonal items, clothes, and other stuff you don't need to get from the grocery …
The employees at this location are great I gave 2 stars because I'm tired of the stupid coupon games King Soopers plays where the actual discount you get is a mystery until you get to one of the many self check out stations. "Did I get the …
Good selection and nice employees. Presumably due to staffing issues they have a high number of self checkouts instead of cashiers and almost no baggers. Having just completed a 2 month camping trip through Arizona, UT, CA, Oregon, …
